Nachtiville

I cannot put into words how unique and memorable this wonderful little festival is, taking place at the Weissenhäuser Strand complex on the Baltic Sea, around a hour's drive outside Hamburg.

Nachtiville is run by the same crew responsible for the renowned Nachtdigital which takes place in Olganitz in July - I've also been to this festival which you can read about here. 2023 marked the second edition, following on from the original which ran in 2015 at a Center Parcs resort in the Netherlands. After seeing this legendary video of Job Jobse playing Laurent Garnier's Man with the Red Face I knew I had to snag a ticket for Nachtiville 2023.

The concept of the festival is a "winter retreat" therefore the music programme runs in the evening through the night, so that attendees can enjoy the activities on the resort during the day - such as calm walks on the beach, bowling and swimming at the tropical pool complex - which later turns in to the Wave Cave, possibly the most unique festival stage I've ever experienced. Some of my favourite sets from the weekend included Helena Hauff smashing the Hall to pieces, BenUfo, Gerd Janson and to close the festival none other than Job Jobse B2B Sedef Adasi.
